The ISP with whom we are colocating our server has moved
facilities, so hopefully we'll see a few less outages.
They've been averaging one or two a year, and we're hoping
that will go down.

akira.lanfear.com is dead, long live akira.lanfear.com!
We ugpraded the server this morning to a shiny new Dell
server. Big difference? New software, more patches,
more monitoring programs, and it's much faster -- which
means it will spend even MORE time doing nothing ...

For some reason, after nearly 1 year of uninterrputed
uptime, our server rebooted yesterday. There was probably
an interruption in some web services, but otherwise, everything
seems to be fine.
